Prussian Cuirassier Monument, 1928/30
Between the years 1819 and 1822, Prussian cavalry barracks were built on top of the northern half of the Late Roman Fort Divitia near the banks of the Rhine. An equestrian statue was unveiled in 1930 to commemorate the Cuirassier Regiment “Graf Gessler”.
